My figurative book logs of years gone by indicate that I will likely read an average of seven books this year. Lame, I know.
Nonetheless, I’m sharing my highly optimistic book list of the thirty books I cannot wait to read! A girl can dream. Several of these are roll-over from last year since I tend to over plan every single year of my life. The cup is always half full, I suppose.
This book list is full of wisdom in all of my favorite topics: friendship, motherhood, raising boys, missional living, writing, discipleship, and following Jesus. Several of these authors are new to me, but the majority are my favorite bloggers and authors: women and even a few men who encourage me to live more like Jesus and who lead me to think about the Christian life in a new way. You may even find a fiction book among this abundant list! I hope you’ll find one {or a dozen} books to add to your own personal book list, dear reader friends. May your weekends be full of beautifully written words and maybe even cozy reading corners. Dream big, sisters!
Side note: Sweet friends, these books are listed in no particular order. This is bothersome to my husband, but I simply number lists without rhyme or reason. Some of the ones that I cannot wait to read are listed at the bottom. There is zero strategy to this listing…except that I looked at my Amazon wish list and my Pinterest board….and composed a crazy good list. So, please pay no mind to the numbering here. Who knows? I may read number 27 first! {Actually, I am in the final chapter of the first book but you get the idea.} Consider this as complete randomness, dear readers. Happy reading to you!!!

From my heart to yours, ~Courtney
I can’t believe you’ve never read Redeeming Love! But since it’s loosely based on the book of Hosea maybe you should read the Jennifer Rothschild book first.
For sure! I was thinking they might be most effective back to back, too!! I’ve wanted to read Redeeming Love since college. It was extremely popular back then. I suppose I keep putting it off until the “next year.” Fiction isn’t my typical genre, you know. Haha!
I heard that they’re making a movie of Redeeming Love. I hope that is true! Great book…it took me several attempts to get it done but I’m sure you’ll love it.
Oooooh! I better hurry and read the book before the movie comes out! How exciting!
