When January arrives, I can hardly remember what I listened to before Christmas music because I absolutely live my best life once Christmas music begins!
I listen to Christmas music from October through December because when it brings you more joy than almost anything else in the world, two months doesn’t even seem long enough.
Still, I’m always ready for fresh music by New Years Day. There’s something so refreshing about beginning the year with good music. Yesterday, as I went about my first day of January, I compiled a list of songs I’m loving for winter and decided to share them with you. The common thread in these songs is both the feeling of total surrender to Jesus and also the kind of sound that you can enjoy while cooking, cleaning, organizing, or carpooling. It just feels very fresh, peaceful, and January to me. I’m hoping it will be as life-giving for you as it was for me yesterday. I’m going to be playing this playlist on repeat for the month of January and maybe February too. It pairs well with cooking and savoring homemade chicken noodle soup. (I tried that out yesterday.) I think it will be nice for snowy days, cozy days, and productive days. Enjoy!
