Rose knows a few things about the unspoken pressure to “fit the mold,” and she intentionally decided against it. What a joy it is to share Rose’s heart with my reader friends today!
Rose has been a pastor’s wife for eleven years and she felt the weight of the title in the beginning. She quickly decided to follow God’s plan for her life rather than the perception of anyone else’s expectations.
Rose has leaned into her own giftings and callings to love other’s well. With a willing heart, she has walked beside her husband to serve their congregation. And this sister says she knows her limits. What a breath of fresh air for those of us who feel the weight of people pleasing, amen?
Rose is walking audaciously in the freedom of Christ, with an identity securely in Him alone. Friends, you will be encouraged by her wisdom in this video.
You can listen to my conversation with Rose here, dear readers.
May it encourage your heart. May we all have identities in Christ alone and may we serve from hearts willing to live boldy as the daughters He created us to be. Nothing less. Nothing more. We are enough. What a blessing it has been to learn this through Rose’s example. May we always live freely to serve in our own passions, capacities, and giftings. You have a gift or two, sweet friends. Shine on!
From my heart to yours,
~Courtney
