Summer is here and I’m all about a good playlist in the summertime. I have playlists of the boys’ favorite worship songs, my favorite summer oldies, songs for road trips, and jams for days at the pool. Last summer, I shared a few of my own favorite worship songs in a post titled Seven Songs I’m Loving this August.
While I’m still loving all of those same tunes from the summer of 2018, I’ve found a few more that focus my heart on Jesus in a similarly reverent style.
Every playlist is better when shared. Am I right? Here are five more songs to fix your eyes on our Savior. Below, I will share five of my favorite songs in this particular season.
After nearly 5 years of blogging, I think I’ve finally learned how to share a Spotify playlist with you, good readers! My sincere apologies for my slow progression in this learning curve and for the past five years of playlists shared only as YouTube videos. You’ve been gracious to stick around, I tell you. You can listen to the Spotify playlist by clicking the link below.
A few things about this particular playlist:
•These songs are not the most upbeat songs I’ve ever shared with you. If you love upbeat, feel-good, happy worship songs, you must check out my Rend Collective-heavy playlist here: A Little Slice of Happy
•This playlist is full of deeply meaningful lyrics. The words speak Biblical truths about the heart of God and the Gospel. These songs are full of rich theological gems. As different as the songs are, they all lead me to worship God in awe of His glory and unfailing love. They fix my eyes and my heart on Jesus. I need that every day.
These are five songs you need to know this summer:
1. “The Lord is my Salvation” by Keith and Kristyn Getty
2. “His Mercy is More” by Matt Boswell
3. “Living Hope” by Phil Wickham
4. “Is He Worthy” by Andrew Peterson
5. “Just as I Am” arrangement by Travis Cottrell

May you stand amazed in His presence. May your heart be full of His truth so that you may love others in Christlikeness. May we give all glory and honor and praise to our great God. He is truly worthy of all praise!
From my worshipping heart to yours,
~Courtney
